No pensamos mucho en ello, pero la música que suena a nuestro alrededor mientras crecemos está arraigada en nosotros para toda la vida.

Lo que representan los hits de Elvis Presley de los años 50, los clásicos de los baby boomers como "Hey Jude" de The Beatles, o las canciones de George Michael en los 80 (un artista que más o menos definió la radio en esa década) para sus respectivas generaciones y más allá, es una especie de cultura musical que siempre estará vigente.

Si bien las canciones de los tipos 'novedad' y 'estándar' eran comunes cuando nos remontamos al pico inicial de la radio, el rock y luego el hip-hop fueron invadiendo poco a poco la esfera musical hasta el punto que hoy en día están básicamente en todo lo que oímos, incluso no directamente.
